I recently discovered this product and decided to purchase it. there are no reviews or ratings from Japan yet, so maybe this is the frist review from Japan. It is indeed noted that it can record in 4K, but the actual resolution is up to 2880*2160 at 24fps with a bitrate of 24,666 kbps, recording at 3 MB/s per second. It can record for approximately 6 minutes with 1GB, which is nearly double the capacity required for full HD recording. This isn't limited to this dash cam, but without high-durable MLC SD cards for dash cams, I think they woudl break within a few months of use. The quality is excellent, even with high resolution, and it looks like the highest level of quality so far. I previously used the DrivePro 230 and 70mai 1s, but the ROVE R2-4K surpasses them in quality. Even in poorly lit areas, it can clearly read license plates. The device also comes with GPS and speed measurement, and naturally, it has various features. The menu on the device is also in Japanese. It can turn off voice guidance or use machine sounds,which is subtly convenient. Being able to silence it is particularly useful. Currently, there's a 3,000 yen discount coupon available. Given that it's just entering the Japanese market,it's likely being sold cheaply,as it sells for around $120 in the US. For now, it offers an amazing level of value for money. The only drawback is definitely the miniUSB port,which I noticed in the photos but can't believe they're still using miniUSB in 2023,at least it could be microUSB as a minimum... Despite this,for a dash cam,it's unmatched in terms of quality and value for money,making it acceptable. The sale at this price is highly likely only for a limited time, but as a 4K dash cam with decent quality and a full range of features, it's a product without a single complaint.
